I’m Nicole, the coco of cocostudio.
I can’t remember a time that I wasn’t surrounded by books. The daughter of a public school librarian and the niece of several teachers and a principal, reading, writing and learning have been an integral part of my life since the beginning. So it probably wasn’t a surprise that I made all of those things a central part of my career path.

My scenic career journey includes stops as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, qualitative researcher, and traditionally published author.
Along the way, I edited nonfiction for select clients, translated expert knowledge into training scripts, coached leaders at the CDC, the Southern Company, policy think tanks nd the DOT, and provided manuscript and query critiques to emerging authors.
Through these experiences I’ve learned how to meet people wherever they are in their thinking, and help them shape it into a manuscript, a program, a message that lands.
A graduate of Florida A&M. University, I’m a proud Rattler with a B.S. in Journalism. I went on to earn a Ph.D. in Learning, Design & Technology from the University of Georgia, with a certificate in interdisciplinary qualitative research. I’m also a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation, and hold a Poynter ACES Certificate in Editing.
Beyond the credentials, I’m also a sometimes runner, walker, and salsa dancer. I’m allergic to cats, but I love them. I also enjoy the sunshine through a mature canopy, and seeing stars on clear nights.
My love of learning and books, my training, and all of my life experiences show up in the work I do for cocostudio. You’ve got something important to say. The world needs to hear it. Let’s partner together and get it done.
